In Gemer, road cycling enthusiasts as well as lovers of mountain slopes will enjoy themselves. On the wide plains in the south of the region, also on winding mountain roads with amazing views in the north.
A unique place for cycling is represented by Gemerské spojky, which represent unfinished railway connections from the period of the Second World War. They also include the Slavošovce Tunnel, which is crossed by the official cycle route connecting the Košice and Banská Bystrica regions. With its length of 2,401 m, it is the longest cycle tunnel in Europe and the third longest in the world.
