Folklore festivals

From the Muránská plateau and Slovak paradise in the north, to the Cerová vrchovina hills in the south, from Soroška serpentines in the east, to the Ožďany serpentines in the west. With these places, we can mark the territory of Gemer, which, together with Malohont in the Gemer-Malohont county, represented one of the oldest and most important cultural areas of Slovakia. A region of valleys in which the unceasing work of our ancestors created a civilization embodied in cultural monuments and folklore that is still alive today. To this day, it is not only in Gemer a manifestation of uniqueness, artistic sensibility and unique outlook on life.

Folklor festivals in Klenovec, Rejdová, but also in other places throughout Gemer, are still a great holiday not only for the performers, but also for the locals.
