Legion train in Tisovec and Rimavská Sobota

The unique Legion train exhibition was in our region for the first time!

In July, we had the opportunity to see and visit a faithful replica of the military train with which Czechoslovak legionnaires made their way along the Trans-Siberian Highway to Vladivostok in 1918-1920.
Guides in legionnaire uniforms led us through individual exhibitions in 14 wagons with expert explanations, in which we viewed and touched some original components of equipment, weapons, and everyday objects of the legionnaires. In addition to commemorative items, it was also possible to purchase professional and popular science publications with a legionnaire theme on the spot. The legion train was made available from July 19-20 at the railway station in Tisovec and on July 21-23, 2020 at the Rimavská Sobota railway station.
