Lookout tower Vŕšok

The Vŕšok tourist lookout can be found on the slope of the hill of the same name approximately 1 km north of Rimavská Baňa. A footpath with an elevation of approximately 120 meters will lead you to it after less than 20 minutes of walking. As a reward, you will have views of the Rimava river valley, towards the west to Lehota nad Rimavicou, to the north to the hill of Tŕstie near Tisovec and to the south to Hungary. Permon welcomes you to the 7-meter-high lookout tower, which recalls the ancient glory of gold mining in the Rimava valley. In addition to the tower itself, you will find a pleasant seating area made of wooden mushrooms, which, together with Permon, are the work of the young local carver Pavel Švantner. The surrounding nature offers the collection of mushrooms, herbs and forest fruits.
