Recreation area Kurinec - Zelená voda
It is located in the southern part of central Slovakia, approximately 4 km south of Rimavská Sobota. It offers its visitors swimming in a water tank or in a pool complex with drinking and geothermal water.
It is also an ideal place for active use of free time - you can find Russian bowling, mini golf, tennis courts, table tennis, football fields and beach volleyball. There is a boat, paddleboard and pedal boat rental near the water reservoir. Lovers of fishing and horse riding will also enjoy themselves here. For those who enjoy walking in the forest, the nature reserve Kurinecká dubina stretches on the right bank of the water reservoir. In addition to the fact that it is a nesting place for beautifully colored white wagtails, it represents a stand of approximately 80 summer oaks, of which about 30 are with a trunk circumference of over 4 meters. The largest has a circumference of up to 560 cm.
In addition to private cabins, visitors can also stay in a 70-person tent camp with water, electricity, social facilities and a chemical sink for caravans. In addition to cars, Kurinec can also be reached by bicycle, along the over 4 km long cycle path. A sightseeing train also runs here from the city free of charge.
