Pipitka Hill (1224 m above sea level) rises on the main ridge of Volovské vrchy (Pipitka sub-section). It stretches between Úhornianske sedlo and the town of Medzev. The peak offers you a beautiful circular view of, for example, Kráľova hoľa, Plešivecká and Silická planina, High Tatras and others.

A town with a rich mining and ironworks tradition, during which you should definitely not miss the majestic mansion of the Coburg family. Lovers of sports and nature will come to their senses while rafting on the Muránka river, or mountain downhill on scooters, gourmets while enjoying a regional specialty - Gemer balls.

The uniqueness of the observatory is the astropark, where you can find models of asteroids, a sundial, an interactive globe, a large solar oven, a solar house with a car track, a carillon, a small rocket with an astronaut and much more. Both children and adults will enjoy themselves. Observations of the starry sky through a telescope take place every Friday evening in clear weather.

The festival in Rejdová is a presentation not only of good folklore, beautiful costumes, but also of the hospitality and cordiality of the people of Gemer.

The biggest folklore festival of Gemer-Malohont will be presented again this year on the last weekend of June in Klenovec.

For lovers of authentic folklore, the Gemer region offers a varied program even in the run-up to Christmas.

The valley, reminiscent of the gorges of the Slovak Paradise, is now easily accessible thanks to a hundred metal steps, footbridges and steel ropes.

From the 15-meter-high metal lookout tower, in good weather, you can see the High Tatras like in the palm of your hand. You can reach it from the village of Rudná along the nature trail in about two hours, from the center of Rožňava in over two and a half hours.

The opportunity to see ground squirrels in the wild in the immediate vicinity is a truly exceptional experience. Some are not even afraid to take food straight from your hand!

We could also call Cerová vrchovina the land of extinct volcanoes. There are 9 marked hiking trails, 4 educational trails and 3 educational sites that pass through the most attractive parts of the territory.

The Krásnohorská Cave will offer you a unique adventurous experience. With caving gear you will go through a cave with wooden footbridges, ladders, ropes to the largest stalagmite you have ever seen.

The Turkish Bridge near Hnúšťa is the most popular locality for locals and visitors from a wide area. The 170-year-old catalpa in the Mariássy Garden and a visit to the Museum of Socialist Curiosities are definitely worth seeing.

A regional specialty that, in addition to every good restaurant on Gemer, you can taste during the Days of the City of Jelšava, where a competition in cooking this delicacy has been held for several years.

Horse riding for beginners can be done in the summer season daily from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In autumn and winter, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, weekends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., always by telephone.

The bunker in Bretka, which was hit by a rocket from the legendary Russian weapon - Katyusha, has been left to its fate since the war. In Jesenské, a group of enthusiasts took the initiative to restore the bunker, which is gradually renovating it and making it accessible to the public.

Compared to the more famous Slavošovce neighbor, the Koprášsky tunnel is much shorter, its length is less than 250 m. However, it is possible to go through it without artificial lighting.

Slovak unique. At an altitude of 600 meters, there are about 4,000 cherry trees of at least 50 different varieties. This is a wonderful view in spring and autumn.

Today, this 2-kilometer tunnel is partially flooded and since 1997 has been declared a protected area to protect the wintering ground for bats. The Tisovec portal is completely flooded, but the Muráň portal is worth a turn, which is, depending on the weather, accessible from the blue tourist sign leading from Muráň to Tisovec.
